Time goes by so fast!!
I don't know what to saayyyyy. Oh. so we had a sub on Wednesday bc irmao
roberts was sick :( He makes our day. haha and we hadn;t seen him in
forever as it was so it was disappointing. Our sub was awesome though,
we did something really cool.. We all took turns teaching her as an
investigator and we had 2 minutes till it was the next set of
missionaries but we all had to keep going with what the other set were
saying. It was way cool! The spirit definitely leads the lesson. It went
a lot smoother than any of us thought it would go.
Yesterday
was awesome, Irmao Roberts was back haha and his lesson was just great.
Part of it we taught him as him. Just listened to the spirit and said
what we felt he needed to hear. So I was kind of flipping through my
scriptures.. lah di dah waiting for something to pop out at me or see a
scripture mastery that just went along perfectly with what he needed.
And i came across Alma 32:41-43. (it's about being patient and
dilligent) so i open up my Portuguese set and just sit there. He notices
that i might want to say something so i ask him to read Alma 32:43 (the
blessing part sort of) And he smiles and I realized that that was the
scripture he told us at the beginning of our MTC time that got him
through all of the hard times on his mission. It was just so cool! I
don't know if it helped him at all but the spirit told me to say it:P
and it was just awesome that i had totally forgotten that it was his
favorite encouraging scripture and i had been prompted to have him read
it... Just great.
Also with Irmao
Roberts, we talked about teaching people and not lessons. So that was
cool. Dah the Holy Ghost is so important in this work. I seriously have
no idea how/why people try to do it with it. We don't know our
investigators as well as our Heavenly Father, but if we listen to the
spirit, we can say exactly what they need to hear. :)
We
have TRC today, i'm not sure what it stands for but we teach people in
portuguse for like 15 minutes, so we planned that lesson. It's about the
Book of Mormon:)
We get to go to the temple in the afternoon now! so it won't be as hard to stay awake ;P haha but i'm excited to do that later.
I can't believe i only have like 11 days until i'm in the field. Insane.
There was a double rainbow yesterday!!! ha it was cool.
I'm becoming a pro in volleyball btw;) beast ovah heeerrrreee.
Everyone thinks i'm super ghetto hahahaha. An elder said i have a black
lady personality. thanks? He also said i'm Cindy Lou-Who hahaa nice..

love you!! I can't wait to tell you where i'm going in a week!!! I had a
dream last night that i got my visa.... It was so real. Dah.
